Intensity!! Intensity and Energy! We had both at the gym this morning as our 6am class lifted, pulled and burpeed their way to better and health human performance. Intensity. There is a common problem that occurs in every typical gym across america. Lack of Intensity. Ipods, TV's, Treadmills, Sauna's Swimming pools, plants---all these things were designed to make us comfortable. Tell me, is it possible to have high intensity and be comfortable at the same time? No, it cannot happen. Intensity is hard. It hurts. But, you know what? If we can get it-- after every workout that we do, we will be stronger, faster, leaner, younger, and healthier than those who cannot achieve it--because they are chatting with their friend about the large screen TV in front of them while they work out on the treadmill. I would much rather see two people scream at each other to get ONE MORE rep and fail, than to see those same people walk on the treadmill for their 30 min allotted time in the local health clubs!!
