Jumps, Flips, and Hammer Time

It was a great morning yesterday as the temperature was perfect for a great outdoor workout.

I promised that we would get the tires out this week to our athletes, and I did not disappoint. How often do you get to flip tires, use a sledge hammer and jump up and down in a workout?

We Raise the Bar by Lowering our times!!!

As a class, we performed the Crossfit named workout: "Annie" this morning. It is a good benchmark to see how people are improving in midline stability and endurance.

I was pumped when I looked back and saw the number of how everyone is improving in this WOD.

In addition, those that completed the WOD for the first time, went after it hard, and did great!

We LOVED Tabata's today

20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest!! Our athletes completed 8 rounds of :20/:10 for each of the following moves--pull up, push-up, sit up, and squat. Total reps completed is your score for the day!!

Do a Google Search for Tabata....we are able to increase our aerobic capacity by doing anaerobic movements...hmmm? How is that possible?

Do the research and find out!

How hard can that be...really? We only completed 6,844 reps!!

Stacia is a fast learner....first time she performed a Kettlebell Windmill. Awesome!!

What an AWESOME Day at Crossfit Legacy

WOW!!

It was a great day here at Crossfit Legacy. Every class was full and there some impressive performances during the WODs. New members joined and current members did their best to complete the short WOD as fast as Possible.

It was a pleasure to watch Crossfit Legacy athletes today. All of the athletes here make coming to the gym a great experience. I love to unlock the door everyday and see what all of you can accomplish!!!

News article of the Day. If you think that because you have back pain, you should not exercise; think again!! Read this article for an interesting study!!

Crossfit Legacy athletes really had to focus on finishing the workout as it was not only physically taxing, but mentally taxing as well. One athlete even forgot what round he was on during the start of the 2nd round!!!
